General InformationThe Part 150 and Master Plan Process is designed as an inclusive process that encourages citizen participation. There will be four sets of Public Workshops held throughout the course of the Part 150 Study to provide the public the opportunity comment on the study and its findings; the Master Plan Update includes five sets of Public Workshops. These workshops will be held at key milestones and are designed to allow the public to ask questions one-on-one to the FAA, the airport, and the consultants. No formal presentation will be made at the meetings.
Public Workshop FormatAs with previous studies at the airport, Public Workshops will be held on back-to-back nights, one in Kentucky and another the next night in Ohio. The workshops will be an open-house format, lasting approximately 2-3 hours. No formal presentation will be given, so the public can come at any time during the posted hours. There will be a looping video which will provide the viewer with a brief overview of the Part 150 and Master Plan process, where the studies are in that process, and the findings of each study to date. The public is encouraged to watch the video during their visit to the workshop.
Representatives of the airport and the consultant team will be available at various stations to address questions or to discuss specific issues regarding the study. The stations will be organized by topic and will include presentation boards describing the topic. In addition to the stations, handouts summarizing the information at the workshop will be provided to the public.
The public will also have the opportunity to make written comments regarding each study and its findings. All of the comments received from the workshops will be reviewed by the airport and the consultant team and incorporated into the process as necessary. Please note that comments received at the first three sets of Public Workshops will not be responded to in the Final Part 150 Noise Compatibility Study document. Only the comments received at the last set of Public Workshops, which will be held in conjunction with the Public Hearings will be responded to in the Final document.
Locations and DatesThe Public Workshops will be held at key milestones during the study process. At this time, it is too early in the process to provide specific locations, dates, and times of the Public Workshops, however the schedule below provides general timeframes for the Public Workshops throughout the study. As the locations, dates, and times are determined, the table will be updated.
