Print Friendly VersionHOW CAN I COMMENT/PARTICIPATEThe Part 150 and Master Plan Process is designed as an inclusive process that encourages citizen participation. There will be a number of opportunities for you to provide your comments on each study and findings.
Public WorkshopsA series of Public Workshops will be held throughout the course of the Part 150 Study and Master Plan Update. Four sets of Public Workshops will be held for the Part 150 Study and five sets are planned for the Master Plan Update. These workshops will be held at key milestones and are designed to allow the public to ask questions one-on-one to the FAA, the airport, and the consultants. No formal presentation will be made at the meetings. For more information regarding the Public Workshops click here.
Public HearingA set of Public Hearings will be held in conjunction with the final set of Part 150 and Master Plan Public Workshops. The Public Hearings will provide a forum for the public to make official statements regarding the Part 150 Study and the Draft Noise Compatibility Plan. Present at the Public Hearing will be a Hearing Officer and a court reporter to document all of the comments and questions. No responses will be given to the comments or questions offered during the Hearing, however all written and oral comments will be responded to in the Final Part 150 Noise Compatibility Study document. Questions may be posed to the FAA, airport staff, and the consultants in the Public Workshop, which will be held concurrent the Public Hearing in an adjacent room.
Draft and Final Part 150 Noise Compatibility Study DocumentsThe Draft Part 150 Noise Compatibility Study document will be made available at least 30 days prior to the Public Hearings. The document will be available at local libraries, the airport, and on this web site. The public will be given a 45-day review period for the Draft document, during which they can make comments on the document and the findings of the study. All of these comments will be included and responded to in the Final Part 150 Noise Compatibility Study document.
The Final Part 150 Noise Compatibility Study Document will be made available for public review as well. Comments or questions regarding the Final document and the findings of the study will be directed to the FAA. They will consider these comments as part of their process for developing a Record of Approval for the airport's Part 150 Noise Compatibility Plan.
Contact information for commenting on either the Draft or the Final Part 150 Noise Compatibility Study documents will be provided at the time the documents are made available for public review.
